... it was completely different here. We begged for rain. For over 10-12 weeks we had virtually no precipitation. 30 degrees and sun was the constant state here. Honestly, it started to get on our nerves at some point...

Gas consumption 55 cubic meters from the beginning of April 15 - 30.09.15. It was still cold here at the beginning of April, our heating was only turned off at the beginning of May. From mid-May to the end of September it was only 20 cubic meters

Best regards,

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I know. I always got the Bavaria weather reports with photos from my sister. You couldn't believe it, it was unbelievable. When she then received my photos, my sister always said: "You live in a strange area... right."

At some point I was fed up with this crap up here, took 2 weeks off and went down by train. 2 weeks of heat and sunshine. On the return trip: From Limburg onwards: RAIN and 15 degrees colder....

A friend from Aschaffenburg: It was even worse there, basically it didn't rain there for a few months. You could almost really have thought his house was on the plateau of el Teide, that's how the vegetation looked.

2015 was interesting in terms of weather.

Best regards
Thorsten

Yes, that's how the world is....

For some, it's raining, and others get stuck with the Energy Saving Ordinance 2016. Looking back on investments, I can basically only say: "Usually, it was only worth it if it was fun. Financially, rather rarely." It starts with the season ticket for the outdoor pool and ends with converting the old diesel car to sunflower oil. All investments with great potential and little return.
So, thanks to you. I will stick with the minimal solution. And if in 20 years I say, "Ha, it would have paid off" – then I will just have to endure it.
It remains with the air-to-water heat pump, even if it later runs with a 2.1 Seasonal Performance Factor, and it remains with 018 roof and 019 wall. I'll lay the solar lines just in case and also the water pipes to the wood stove.
And that's that.
Otherwise, learned a few things again. For example, that Viessmann gas condensing boilers aren't that expensive – if only I could get them approved. And that operating them in the lower performance range is not so healthy.

Greetings to all
michael

Also interesting in this context: Real estate forces discipline

With money that you would have otherwise spent on vacation and a new car, you insulate your wall.
That is to say, real estate might not always be profitable, but unlike the season ticket for the outdoor pool, you still have something from it at the end of the year.
