Hello Sabine, we liked the idea of widening the necessary splash guard strip and using it directly as a path around the house. However, we hardly use the exit anyway; it is more for letting in air, as otherwise everything in the dining area is fixed glazing. The main terrace is located to the left of the fireplace and has its own direct access.

Hello Climbee,
our neighbors on the right can look into our bathroom when they are in the garden. But it reflects quite a bit and they haven't peeked at us yet In the evening there are [Raffstores]. We now have a wooden piece lying over the tub for the glass of wine.

We had the table (100 x 220 cm) made by the carpenter. It consists of 2 continuous beams, hence the gap in the middle. It is oiled French oak (not reclaimed wood). The cracks and unevenness are resin-filled so that the surface is completely smooth and easy to maintain. The base is made of raw steel. Photo to follow!

Thanks! We are getting reclaimed wood - it is currently being worked on (see pictures below), also done by the carpenter, and we decided against raw steel and are now having the legs painted (in anthracite-brown, like some street lamps), because I’m afraid that wiping with a damp cloth could always leave stains from the steel on the floor. Do you have problems with that?

Our table will be about 300x120 - we are really excited! If we’re lucky, we’ll get it next week.

So here you can see the individual processing steps - the wood is completely planed down so that the table surface is then flat and, like with you, the gaps are filled with resin because I also don’t want to have to pick out crumbs from there.

Wow, really impressively gigantic! Please also send a photo when it is finished. I'm curious! We have no problems at all with raw steel. Our entire staircase is made of raw steel and was only oiled. It also does not stain when wiped with a damp cloth.

Well, now we have our old table with (extended) 260x85 and it almost seems a bit lost:

There will also be new chairs, but we wanted to wait and see how the table looks there before deciding on the color of the chairs.
