An architect with the fee demands and this cost breakdown as the first proof of work... If he works this way in the other areas he is responsible for, he is not even worth half of the estimated fee.

I would calculate with 100' more:

Especially with architect-designed houses, I would strongly recommend a proper buffer!

That is very possible. However, I am open to clarification.

A draftsman will invest much more time, that is clear. But that hardly justifies the high costs for architectural services, does it?

I don't quite understand the first item, what you included there. Purchase price: I assume you mean 721m² of land area at a price of 90€/m², right? With my calculator, 721*90 does not come out to 175,000€.

Oh, that is our plot size and the corresponding price per sqm... I didn’t adjust it quickly.

Until now I still considered myself intelligent, but here I fail to fathom the content of this insight.

I completely agree. Exterior facilities rather 20k, kitchen 15-20k, furniture significantly more. Upgrading significantly more. In the region, I would also expect 700k or more, depending on what equipment you still want. Fireplace? How many bathrooms?
