such individual customizations are only ordered once the setup is finalized... craftsmanship, things are constantly changing

We determined the shower size, the general contractor's draftsman the 124 cm. We signed the offer in January, it states shower enclosure including delivery and installation. We chose the enclosure at a bathroom showroom, unfortunately no one from the general contractor was there to coordinate, and during the consultation there was never a hint that measurements would be taken again beforehand and it could lead to a custom-made product. We always had the plans with us. But even then, we felt “left alone” because the general contractor only said you can pick something here and there. We checked many measurements but did not consider the measurement inside the shower as critical. We thought we were getting a standard shower and wanted the bathroom to be completely finished at the handover of the property.

sampled and signed was also done in the bathroom showroom according to the planning. However, the glass doors were of course only produced and installed after the tiler according to the on-site measurements. Just check with your supplier how the [Hausanschlusskasten] is handled.

This insight won't get you any further. What's the point of searching for the error if you won't make it a second time? The opening won't become any wider because of it either. I see it like and : continue finishing the construction and in the end have a solution installed by the glazier. The plumber measures, also goes to the glazier, proposes something, and charges you for it. You might as well go directly to the glazier and shorten the value chain. The price difference to your planned solution should be marginal.

Who issued the invoice to you? The bathroom showroom or the GU? If the whole thing went through the GU, then he is responsible for ensuring that it fits in the end. If you bought it directly through the bathroom showroom and paid the installer separately, it becomes more difficult. Then kindly ask whether you can withdraw from it or possibly buy another door directly from the exhibitor.

If the shower enclosure does not fit, you simply remove it from the order and assign the order yourself. It should not be more than a formality. Otherwise, the companies on the construction site would have to agree on who bears the additional costs - that can take time and cause a lot of stress, which can affect the further quality of the construction.
