I’d say this: a general contractor is not someone who holds your hand. Even with turnkey house construction, you as the client have to take care of certain details or inform yourself, ask questions, and swallow some unpleasant things. In that regard, it’s more like second-class house construction compared to an architect.

Unfortunately, quite a few things are coming together, but you are right, the world looks completely different again today. The conversation with the site manager went quite well; although no concessions were made (he allegedly checked the shell dimensions), according to him, the individual adjustment would only cause an additional cost of 100€. We are curious whether this will be confirmed by the plumbing. In terms of timing, he does not see the handover in two weeks as critical, which gives us hope again…
