Should you glue or drill the pleated blind? Which holds better (without major drawbacks)

We have wooden windows inside and drilled or screwed all the blinds. I would always do it that way again. It holds, and unlike gluing, when dismantling you only have a small hole in the wood. It can be closed easily. With gluing, it might tear the wood out completely after a few years.
