Exactly, the door is double-leafed.

I would have a floor-to-ceiling stand (about 80 cm away from the short wall) built up high and build a bookshelf out of the space in between… Just like here… but with one shelf… That would alleviate the problem. If cleverly designed, you could even still reach the switches.

I wouldn't extend the wall since the room is already so small. Maybe you can, like in the picture, recess a TV lift into the ceiling. Of course, this involves costs, but that way the TV is only in the way when you are sitting on the couch anyway, and it can also be a bit bigger than the wall.
