Hello,

unfortunately, I have to make a timely decision about which installation housings I need for the ceiling recessed lights. Unfortunately, I have not yet had the chance to deal extensively with the topic and at the moment I also lack the time for it, and to be honest, electrical work is not my strong suit.

The ceiling manufacturer has offered me 4 installation boxes to choose from...

- HaloX 100

- HaloX 100 with tunnel

- HaloX 180

- HaloX 180 with tunnel

I want to have the house installation realized with KNX.
For lamps, Dali is often recommended as a second system.
Where the journey will lead, I cannot say at the moment.

Which installation boxes will I need to be reasonably flexible?
Before I ask my electrician, I would like to gather different opinions, because you never know if the electrician will only recommend the easiest solution, which is not necessarily always the best.

Ceiling distances are max. 1.30 m, 1.18 m, 1.00 m.
To keep it uniform, I would like to have uniform lamps, except for the bathroom.
They should be dimmable LED spotlights and RGB in the shower.

At the moment, what is important to me first is... which installation boxes do I need?

I would really appreciate your help.

Best regards
Judyyy

Take the 100 ones with tunnel, they are usually enough. Installed they look like this:

Hello, thank you very much for your advice.

And the tunnel for low-voltage lamps with transformer or high-voltage with external LED driver?

Best regards

Which lamps you use ultimately doesn't matter...yes, the tunnel is for the transformers etc.

And which system would you recommend, since we're already on the topic =)

NV or HV?

Do you perhaps also have a lamp recommendation?
