Hi everyone,

in our attic we want to organize the "stuff" a bit and are therefore looking for a simple/inexpensive shelving system. The attic has no knee wall and a roof slope of 27°. The shelf should be set up along the roof slope. Does anyone have an idea of what can be easily bought off the shelf here? Of course, the shelf does not have to fit perfectly :)

Thanks!

Regards,

We have Hyllis from Ikea standing under the slope. There is a large empty space behind it, but the head remains bump-free.

There are these heavy-duty shelves in every hardware store that can be assembled either as a workbench (half the height, double the width) or as a shelf.

You can also use Ivar from Ikea. You can place any shelf you like there. Behind it, you can easily store ladders, cushions, and other longer items.

We have about 26 degrees without KS and have foregone a shelf that would have to be very deep, instead placing boxes directly under the slope that we pull out when we want something. The cushions and pillows are on top of the boxes.

Thanks for your input, really awesome!

I also came across that shelf. With its 74cm height, a lot of space is simply lost at the back... That's why I wanted to see if I could find something that adapts more to the shape of the roof ;-)

That's true of course. For a few meters, I can really imagine that well. Cushions and stuff are always available after all. It would still be nice to have a few deeper shelves. I just have the "little problem" that my roof isn’t very deep either. Meaning, if I put a shelf too far forward, it quickly comes at the expense of the walking space.

That’s true! So far, I have only found these parts in "2x large shelf" + "2x narrow shelf". Do you happen to know a model that can be assembled as "1x large shelf" + "1x narrow shelf"? That could be a good solution.

Thanks!

Cheers,

That's exactly why we avoided shelves on the roof side and only placed them where you can actually stand. That's why my tip is with the boxes.
