Shed roof or rather hip roof for a bungalow?

In practice, the shed roof house has become somewhat more expensive than a hipped roof house.

And a shed roof with the same pitch has exactly 0 difference compared to a hip roof. At least when it comes to the issue of tightness.

So, in the two posted photos, the shed roof has a pitch of maybe ~8%, and the hip roof ~20%, and roof tiles which a shed roof does not have.
Thus, your comparison is flawed.

The house is not yet built (hence my question) and a shed roof is not fixed either (apart from the fact that it subjectively looks more modern).
According to the construction company, they build according to the latest technology and in all these years they have never had a leaking flat roof. But do you trust every construction company about what they tell you?
