Shampoonesque yes/no? Concealed fitting?

We decided against niches because I think they are hard to clean. We now have baskets made of metal, which I can also take off and wash. So far they haven’t rusted.

My wife decided to go bald because washing hair always takes so long and now wears a turban :p I only eat bread now because cooking always dirties the pots.

Honestly, giving up a nice niche just because you occasionally have to wipe it down with a cloth?

Just because the mainstream does everything that is shown to them in the exhibitions, it doesn’t have to be the ultimate best, nor do you have to go along with every nonsense.
Niches here and niches there… oh dear, how inflexible one becomes with these things. Maybe even with LED lighting? Hooray if this little light also stops working. Home renovations all look the same nowadays.

I wouldn't avoid the niche just because everyone else does it. You could argue the same about the water closet. :D There might be a reason why so many people do it. I had remained silent about the thesis that they are "hard to clean" so far, due to lack of experience, since we had them cleaned back then. However, I've never heard any complaints in that regard. Besides, over time, they never became noticeably dirty visually. After all, they're tiles, and they are even, and we never left soap lying around openly. Accordingly, they had no large vulnerability to become dirty.

We have a niche including LED because I wanted it and LED is a gimmick and not necessary, it's just luxury. Like many other luxuries one may have but does not need. I made it in EL, mind you, and only did it for that reason; if I had had to pay 400€ etc. for it, then it would have been left out. :) I like our niches and, for example, I decided against flush mounting. So everyone as HE/SHE/IT likes. :)
