...just because you can't see the shop window as well from the street anymore...?
Hm, what exactly was the purpose of a shop window again? [emoji6]
Otherwise, everything has already been said. You don't have to convince us that you might be at a disadvantage, but rather the authority, or specifically inquire there. It's called a traffic regulation order here – the crane and container are standing on the sidewalk and parking lane, the area is fenced off. However, in front of our property and the area where our house is supposed to be.
How long is the crane supposed to be standing there? Is it potentially worth getting into a conflict? If so much is unclear, for example why the stuff is standing in front of your area and not his... have you politely asked him?
If no one has complained to you yet (not even the entrepreneur)... then I haven't understood the problem yet. Is there currently one? Or is it that it annoys you that the neighbor was so “bold” to leave everything at your place? If so, ask nicely why this solution was chosen. Maybe the public order office also gave the assignment or the construction company considered it necessary or – as already said – other stuff is going to be in front of the neighbor’s place?! Of course, you can always assume bad intentions (I sometimes do that too, to be honest), but is that productive? Sometimes (often?) there are very good reasons, which you won't find out if you don't ask. I would try that first, if it was bad calculation after all, you can always think about other ways.
