Separate water meter for garden to save on wastewater charges?

Just checked, wastewater costs us 4€/cbm... so it should pay off fairly quickly... with only 120€ to 160€ p.a. in potentially saved wastewater fees...

With us, the meter must be inspected and sealed by the municipality. No extra fees, only after the calibration period has expired does it need to be replaced.

Calibrated meter on Amazon costs 20€. Plus installation.

Can that still be installed later without any problems if you buy it yourself? Or does the certified installer have to be involved? Surely they won't be able to offer an Amazon meter. *G*

With us, submitting the invoice of a craftsman who installs the thing is sufficient. Have it recalibrated/reinstalled every 6 years. Just looked it up...

Who do I need to ask afterwards? My water supplier or the municipality? Does the plumber have to plan the meter right away or can I do that myself? I've heard about the topic on the side several times now, but I've never dealt with it....
