Self-install exterior stone window sills in conjunction with brick facade

Hello everyone,

the fixed price for the new building includes only aluminum window sills (14 pcs) (for 680€) and the surcharge for marble window sills (brand: Nero Impala) amounts to 2700€, with the pure material value being about 1000€.

A friend of mine, who built his own house some time ago, installed the window sills himself, unfortunately with a normal plaster facade. Therefore, the question now is how differently one should proceed when it is [WDVS with clinker]?

Additionally, the question arises whether we should use marble as offered or rather opt for granite? My feeling leans more towards granite, although I cannot justify it. What do you think?

never ever install exterior window sills yourself! Window sills are essential for the airtightness of the facade, and proper installation often fails even for "professionals." Doing it yourself would probably mean guaranteeing the loss of (driving) rain tightness of the house. The risk is not worth it for me.

ETICS with clinker

How is that supposed to work? With facing shells, no ETICS is used. Or do you have slips? Then the approach should be somewhat like with plaster.
