Hello everyone,
I am still studying the construction service descriptions from general contractors for our construction project.
In the construction service description from our preferred partner, I find the attached drawing in the technical description of the base slab.
It states there (highlighted in color by me) that the sealing of earth-contacting parts shall/must be carried out by the builder on site. Further down in the construction service description, I find the following section:
Silly question: Is that normal? I had assumed that this was part of the scope of "building the house." Must/can I have this carried out by the landscaper as part of the garden and landscaping work?
Thanks and best regards

Depending on the type of landscaping work adjoining the facades of the house, it must be ensured under the responsibility of the builders that the earth-contacting surfaces of the facade are protected against ground moisture. The builder must coordinate these measures with their landscaping designer.
