Savings potential in single-family houses

In the meantime, I have found a second thread:

No basement, cheaper plot, smaller living space.

Basement = dark hole for +/- 50,000 € we have of course also omitted.

One could do without electric roller shutters or equip only part of the house with them. It would also have to be an item costing several thousand euros, right?

Maybe do a few things yourself. For example, lay laminate flooring, paint, interior construction, do [GALA Arbeiten] yourself.

Maybe buy a different plot of land, without a slope. Leave out the basement, instead build a slightly larger garage.

If electric roller shutters cost that much money, then maybe have normal ones installed and insert the electric shaft yourself. You can buy these everywhere for 50-100 euros. Including the switch, I think it’s a maximum of 100 euros.
