Hello community,

we are now having the shell construction inspection with the plumber. We already selected the equipment in March.

1. About the heating:
In our first scope of work description, two models were initially mentioned. The reason given was: "Depending on which fits your house better." The contract now names the Stiebel Eltron LWZ 5S. Therefore, I assume that a heating load calculation has taken place and that it fits our house, or am I mistaken here?

2. About the inspection:
I understood that we define the exact locations of the water connections and toilets. One point is the utility sink in the technical room. We would like to have a full table here and need to discuss whether the plumber will do this or if we are allowed to buy it at the furniture store.

3. About the underfloor heating:
Does the client have any "say" here? I would like to mention that I prefer a low flow temperature and that they lay the loops nice and close. But of course, this is a statement on the level of "I'm telling you how your trade should work.."

Thank you all

It is at least the heat pump with the lowest capacity. That is already something valuable. Just ask for the heating load calculation. Also about the design of the heating system. You don't want it to be planned for 45 degrees flow temperature just to realize a nice big (cheap but ineffective) pipe spacing for the underfloor heating.

Thank you! Do you have a good source for information?

Search here in the forum. Heating / Heating design / Flow temperature / Installation distances etc. There are many threads about efficient heating.

In any case, pay attention to the installation distances and have the heat load calculation done for you …. In the bathroom, you should insist on 5 cm, that would be a general recommendation, we even included the walls of the shower separately, otherwise the very large room would have simply been too cold …. I would buy the table elsewhere, the prices of the Sanis for something like that are simply outrageous

For the amount, the spacing of the heating loops is 6.5 cm and 13 cm. It depends on the rooms. The length is limited to a max. of 80m. We have 27 heating circuits on 138 sqm. The supply temperature should be below 30 degrees. In my construction plan thread, you can even find the installation plan  Just search for Fichtenwalde.
