Hello dear house construction forum community,
Attached are 2 pictures showing cracks in our old sandstone house.
Does anyone here possibly have experience or has had similar damage before?
It was built on a vaulted cellar, year of construction around 1850.
Are such cracks repairable in general? I know there are many factors, such as soil conditions, etc.
The cracks developed over time, then 2 trees grew in the crack, which did not improve the condition.
The cracks marked in the front view picture are also found on the back of the house in a similar location.
The left wall in the front picture is shown from the side in the second picture.
Has anyone seen something similar and does anyone have experience regarding possible costs? Does anyone know an expert who could be contacted to assess or suggest the measures to be carried out?
Best regards,
Walter
