Hello dear building friends,
We want to start building in spring and are currently busy obtaining offers for windows:
We already have 2 offers. One from Weru and one from Veka.
In advance: These are plastic windows for a bungalow!!!
For WERU, we are interested in the model Afino One (or Afino Tec):
Afinio ONE, triple glazing, 6-chamber profile, construction depth: 86mm, thermal insulation values up to Uw = 0.68, PVC profile with steel reinforcement, RC2 with Condense-Stop.
Regarding fitting attachment it says: All safety-relevant and load-bearing components are screwed into steel.
The icing on the cake is that WERU currently has a promotion for security fittings, which is of course very interesting for a bungalow.
Then we also have an offer for VEKA:
VEKA Alphaline 90 MD, 6-chamber system in frame and sash, hard PVC, A-quality profile, middle reinforcement chamber with steel insert, 90 mm construction depth, RAL quality mark. Fitting: Siegnia-Aubi (Titan AF) with security locks according to RC1 as standard from 40cm fitting height & width. Thermal insulation glass Ug= 0.6 W/m2K, 32 dB. With warm edge.
SO, now to the "problematic". We had a pretty good feeling about the Weru windows, especially since the security equipment is very important to us, so we actually prefer RC2.
The dealer of the VEKA windows said that VEKA, as a profile manufacturer, can guarantee the stability of the windows, which is apparently not the case with WERU (of course, the dealer wants to sell). But he said that the fittings of the Weru windows are not comparable to VEKA since these are made of steel. Now I hope that a "professional" is reading along here and can tell me if this is true or can generally give me a recommendation... I think qualitatively the windows are not much different...
Then we still have a lift-and-slide door in the living room. That is of course quite expensive at 3,300 €. There is apparently an alternative, namely the PSK. They cost half as much.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Pros and cons?
Maybe someone of you can help me, as I have to decide soon....
Many thanks in advance to all readers!
