Roller shutters let through a lot of light

If you can't sleep anymore in the morning because of too much (I don't see a lot of light with you), it's not because of you, but because of your body, as you're no longer tired enough.

With us, the guides look exactly like yours. Whether it's 8mm or 2 cm... I think it's more like 2cm, if not even more. But it gets dark with us! The slats close all the way down. We don't have a rubber lip at the bottom.
What confuses me is your last slat. This last "slat" is not in the guide rail.
What is that there that can be seen? For us, it is a rather angular end piece, which aside from the missing curvature does not differ from the other slats and also lies inside the guide.

I looked at our window sill today. Our blinds go all the way down and the room is pitch dark. Absolutely "no" light comes in. So it can be done differently. I always leave two rows of the slats open at the top so that I can see it is "morning"...

You also don't have an aluminum window sill. It's a really big difference in the installation

And you have a significantly smaller distance between the window and the blind - even if something were to shine through, it would not have much room to wander...

well, it's not that simple. Light just disturbs sleep; even relatively little is enough. Above all, my two-year-old then thinks it’s morning.

I found this end piece under "Endstabgleiter" on Google. The thing is slightly transparent, so even if everything went all the way down, light would still get in. I honestly don’t know why the thing isn't simply, for example, anthracite. That exists too. Unfortunately, changing it doesn’t seem straightforward either. In the videos I watched about it, they took a lot apart and sometimes worked from the outside. We can’t just do that, otherwise, I would have at least tried it once. My idea was to look for an end piece that is not transparent and extends further outward and downward, but so far I haven’t found one. I’ve already found a site where someone made their end pieces with a 3D printer. If only the stupid thing could be installed somewhat properly...
