Roller shutter control via Shelly 2.5, any experience?

They have thought of everything at Shelly.
I still think that in this case, buttons are the nicer solution. Tap up - done. Tap down - done.
The amusingly changing switch positions would drive my inner Monk to despair.

I would feel the same way. Is it really the case that without a Shelly behind the button it wouldn't work like that? Would you really have to keep it pressed?

Yes, because the roller shutter motor is dumb and only runs when powered. The "luxury" is then handled by the Shelly.

I feel you. Totally unacceptable :eek: Yes. That's why I said somewhere earlier that you should have those things installed right away or later, depending on your Monk intensity, replace all switches with buttons. The operation logic then is long press = move, short press = stop or if you have venetian blinds = stop/slat adjustment.

What about the Chelly switch 1? At least the shelly fits into the box then..

What does the author want to tell us with that? The 2.5 is even a bit flatter than the 1.
