or rather, it probably was done here back then. Googling what this staircase would cost new today would probably recalibrate the valuation.
In my opinion, producing a less valuable condition for expensive money is not "sanctified" by the fact that one prefers it better. A property is never just a dwelling; it is also creditworthiness.
In that respect, despite all sympathy for the diversity of tastes: in my opinion, this would be an investment in devaluation. However: whether that is stupid or original might once again be a matter of taste
And, as I said: the trend is coming back that a Kenngott staircase belongs in the house for the S-Class in front of the house
