Hello everyone,
since quite a few things have already gone wrong with our new building, I would like to ask for advice / information regarding the execution of the insulation / sealing.
After a thermal bridge was detected at an outside corner, insulation boards were attached on the outside to fix this thermal bridge. In my opinion, the work was not done professionally, as the boards including plaster protrude by 3-4 mm and do not align flush with the facade. See attached pictures. By the way, the building is not even half a year old and still under warranty.
My question here: Is such a repair measure on a new building even correct? Shouldn't the facade be opened in order to fix the thermal bridge directly in the wall?
If the repair is indeed correct, I would like to know if there are any tolerances when insulating the exterior with insulation boards. Because it simply looks terrible visually.
