I have a first offer for the installation of a new heat pump: €36,000!

Delivery time is apparently not a problem.

Offered was a Viessmann Vitocal 200 G 201.B08 for €16,600. On the internet, this heat pump can be bought for €9,500.

In addition, the offer included 104 working hours valued at €9,000.

Optionally, passive cooling was offered for an additional €6,300.

Offered was a heat pump package for €16,600:

Vitocal 200-G, type BWC 201.B08 (internet price €9,500)
Vitocell hot water storage 100-V CVWC 300L (internet price €2,100)
Vitocell heating water storage 100-E MSCA 50L (internet price €800)

Total internet price: €12,400

However, the heat pump is without inverter, so not modulating. I had explicitly requested one with an inverter. Without it is not an option for us. With an inverter, the model Vitocal 333-G would be suitable (lowest internet price €9,800), where the hot water storage is already integrated.

In addition, the offer included 104 working hours valued at €9,000.

Optionally, passive cooling was offered for an additional €6,300.

For „passive cooling“ to my knowledge, only one or preferably one dew point sensor per floor is necessary. What on earth is supposed to cost €6,300?

I personally can’t shake the feeling that under the guise of political chaos, the uninformed end customer is being mercilessly ripped off. Honestly, I would rather look for someone employed in the SHK trade through an ad and offer them a golden hourly wage, buy the components online, and have them assemble it. It probably still saves a five-figure sum.

Not what you expected or wanted. That the heating engineer wants to earn money is still okay. For me unnecessary/problematic:
- not modulating
- heating water storage tank
Price-wise a surcharge of a good 30% on internet prices (with the heating engineer maybe some small parts included - then it relativizes even more and including delivery).

I just took a look at the manual. 10 hours of work and 104 hours of coffee/cigarette breaks.

I seriously wonder what is supposed to be understood by that for this price.

Conclusion: defensive offer

You speak from my heart – but you were faster with your text.

Just an example from eBay. In stock a Panasonic (outdoor + indoor unit including 185-liter domestic hot water tank) all-in-one device and installation (including removal of the old gas heating) for €19,500. So it can be done differently – and here it would be an example of a complete heating system replacement and not just a unit replacement.
