I do not know the circumstances, and it is very possible that in weighing the factors, responsibilities, and authorities, a change is unlikely and contradicts too many interests. Then the status quo remains. Declaring something "impossible" is a popular tactic to enforce rejection. No one has to accept such a statement – especially not when it concerns administrative decisions. In any case, apparently many things indicate that you will have to endure the noise on your property. I wish you well in coping with it.

I would expect the expert (with the 3 letters) to give me a number by which the load is reduced. That could then be easily checked.

That's true. Whether the effort is worth it and then being labeled a troublemaker must also be considered. In our little town, everyone just knows each other. Thanks for your ideas!

Listen to when you have the noise. For us, it is Mon-Fri from 6 am to 6 pm, Saturday from 6 am to 1 pm, otherwise relatively quiet. So, when I am at home and want my peace. When electric cars become standard, it will be very quiet. Ok, I wouldn’t bet on that.

30Zone is a tricky issue. The district keeps rejecting it repeatedly. It has been going on for years. The municipality wants 30, applies for it, and it is rejected by the district.

Good tip, thanks!
For us (we have already lived right next door for 20 years), the problem is rush hour traffic in the mornings and evenings, and the occasional truck that has business here.

I had the idea about electric cars too. Although the main problem is not the engine noise but the rolling noise.

Speed limit 30 would be great, of course. If I remember correctly, the type of road is called a state road. And apparently, that excludes a speed limit of 30.

We can get the interior of the house almost noise-free, I am confident about that. My only concern is the terrace.
We will pay close attention to the orientation, thank you for your opinion!
