Reducing traffic noise through construction design and sound barriers

Now don’t unsettle the OP like that. Just sit in front of a house on a busy street and then on the terrace behind the house. The difference will be huge. And if there is a small wall added, even better. Not a place where you can hear a pin drop, but no longer the extreme noise peaks from very loud individual vehicles that can really get on your nerves close to the street.
