Recommendation for sanitary supplier in Greater Cologne area

For our new single-family house construction, we are considering completely outsourcing the general contractor’s sanitary services and commissioning the bathrooms independently. In this regard, we would like to find out which sanitary partner would be suitable in the greater Cologne area. There are many "pharmacies" in this field. Therefore, we find a good price/performance ratio important.

Perhaps someone has had good experiences with a company.

Since a suitable company may not simultaneously have a showroom for bathroom displays, it would also be interesting to know where we can get impressions in a large exhibition.

What we are looking for is a high-end bathroom fitting without it necessarily having to be the newest designer sink from the latest collection (with the corresponding fee to be paid).


At first, we considered ordering our sanitary items from an online shop like R..... and then just commissioning the installation later; however, the general contractor said that this is risky, because who is liable if the externally purchased toilet breaks during installation.....

on the one hand you want a good plumber, on the other hand you want to save on the materials and order them online.

Admittedly, that was a thought. But it has already been discarded – not least because of the warranty issues with installation damage. I fully agree with what you write about the construction boom. Therefore, we need the all-in-one solution.

The general contractor himself, however, recommends separating out the sanitary part if you deviate from the standard. His suggestion was still to come to him with an externally requested sanitary plan and compare the prices. However, he did not seem so confident that he could then offer it at a reasonable price.

Lawyer Shower etc. are indeed important. We don’t want a standard bathroom.
