When calculating the price of, for example, Bora, however, it must be taken into account that you get a complete extractor hood and an induction cooktop for your money. Therefore, I find the price to be somewhat justified.

We have a Berbel and I have to - somewhat like Sebastian - admit that I can't understand why the thing cost nearly 2,000 euros. It does what it's supposed to and maybe makes a little less noise - but that's about it. It might also be because I'm a kitchen philistine...

What is absolutely true (and what you certainly also pay for): the service - 5 stars plus for that. We had complained that we found the hood a bit loud, and immediately a service technician came and checked the installation (found that it was done properly and that the noise level is normal).

On the other hand, I can also imagine that the hood is simply better made and lasts longer...

I would hope so too

Regarding service: We previously had a fan unit in the kitchen that started acting up after half a year - a customer service came very quickly there as well.

The part also only cost 270 euros - just as an example that it is not necessarily about the price.

I maintain that the price for the visually really chic Berbels is completely excessive - but the more expensive, the more people buy

We have a Falmec Lumen and are very satisfied with the power and volume!

A recirculating hood that captures all the steam might not be so bad either. I find it quite pleasant with exhaust air that the humidity doesn’t rise so drastically...

Although I don’t know any high-quality recirculating hoods yet, only some cheap thing that fails in every aspect

Hello, I have also dealt intensively with recirculation hoods, I almost ordered a Siemens hood. But with the common hoods the carbon filter has to be replaced about once a year, which costs around €100. We have now ordered a Berbel Blockline, with which I have the option to regularly wash out the grease tray. The carbon only has to be changed every few years.
