Hello dear fellow builders,
are you sure about the soil survey? As I said: 7 meters west of the building window a drilling was carried out the year before last, as well as about 24 meters east of it. The soil survey recommends a dense basement and a slab foundation (at this point: What exactly does slab foundation mean? Thanks!) for construction, quote, "in this area" anyway. There is no suspicion of contaminated sites, I have also looked at photos and maps of the last 150 years: it was undeveloped. Unless someone buried an atomic bomb, it should be clean and the risk is in the range of general life risk. Flood risk is actually not present (H EXTREM of 0.2m, H 10-100 = =). Earthquake risk (0) is also known. The surveying company is now offering a quick survey based on the neighboring drilling (do you notice something? :)).
No architect or builder has said anything about the soil survey topic, except that it probably comes down to a white tank, which is okay for us. One architect said the soil corresponds to 80% of those in the area and he advises against a soil survey for now - you should look at the neighbor who starts earlier, and if bigger problems arise there, you could possibly do one.
The consumer advice center and the building owners' protection association recommend a soil survey just like you do, however all without knowing the municipality's soil survey.
Slowly I am really confused. No survey and rely on the municipal survey. Or have one done based on the drilling from two years ago? (Isn't that nonsense? I already have those data anyway). Or really reinvent the wheel again?
