Thank you very much for the hint, but I rule out that something else stood there before, as the entire area was previously a shooting and sports ground. However, I will still inquire with our municipality.

Also ask some old "natives". They often have the best info.

Somehow you always think in a one-dimensional way. Just because there were no buildings there before (at least in the time you remember the property) or only your fire station stood there, it does not necessarily mean that no one dumped construction debris there before or after the war.

It may also be that he says, yes, I knew about the construction debris in the ground and it was already there before! Then you lose out. He is not obliged to deliver the property ready to build, unless this is stated in the contract.

Long story short: Is it ruled out that the shooting range and later the fire station were simply located on a covered construction rubble pit from Anno Hast den nicht gesehen, and now this ancient crap is coming back up?

Sorry, but you definitely have no clue what was there before. You come with a statement about before or after the war (nonsense). The only thing that could be there are Starfighters, because they frequently crashed here in the 60s and 70s. There is an airbase next door. And your statement that he doesn't have to leave a property ready for construction is also wrong. Burying debris is definitely wrong and even punishable!!!
