No, it was already discussed here a few weeks ago, and examples were also given from the West where residents had to dismantle their property and move out after 30 years. A user asked here whether it makes sense to buy a plot of land for permanent use in a recreational area. Good example: I then opened such a so-called area on GM. Standing out among almost camouflaged, because overgrown and nestled between trees, small houses is a huge estate with extensions, pool, and large surface sealing. Anyone who does something like that should not be surprised if the authorities become attentive and rule in favor of plaintiffs against this exploitation, so that dismantling and moving away is the consequence.

Today, one must of course also be aware that the monitoring methods of the building authorities are significantly better than they were 30 years ago. Today, they can monitor pretty much everything with satellite technology from the desk. Every parasol is declared a potential illegal construction.

I once stacked boards in the garden. Then the building authority showed up at the door, and they thought I had constructed an illegal garage.

If you are unlucky, post #8

is the "most helpful answer" in the sense of a warning that the building authority will then thoroughly check their copy to compare reality with the permits. Worst case, you will receive a request for information about the addresses of your tenants in order to serve them notices regarding their (alleged) illegal constructions.

There are fewer satellite images than rather aerial images (more precisely digital orthophotos) used by the authorities. Satellite images are only available in sufficient quality in exchange for too many coins (GM and others do call that satellite, but those are images from aerial surveys)... had to mention that briefly.

By the way, these do not even have to be the building authorities. An oversized and accordingly designed "garden shed" is sometimes also noticed by the official topographers during their work, who then report to the official surveying offices that something has not been recorded. Such things also tend to end up on the relevant people's desks.
