Are you referring the 38.8 cm to the grid size of 40 cm? Do you also include the 1.8 cm thick carcass panels and shelves, which reduce the actual interior space?

You will have to raise the floor so that the frame of the microwave has a 4 mm gap to the door above. Only then can you properly see how large exactly the gap is and consider what to use best.

At the moment, I am busy with the kitchen unit opposite. I have attached one of the rails. According to the spirit level, it is relatively straight, but I have a height difference of about 1 mm on each of the 3 wall cabinets hanging on this rail. Is there any way to adjust the height of the cabinets without loosening the rail again?

Before I properly hung/fixed the upper cabinets on the rail, I connected the cabinets sideways using clamps and furniture screws. Then you need a helper to hang several screwed-together upper cabinets. That way, they were definitely horizontal next to each other. When hanging them on the rail, during screwing/adjusting, you should first only pay attention to the outermost right and left screw to level the upper cabinets. The remaining screws at the end.
