Privacy screen, what would you do?

Thank you very much for your answers. I will go over this with my husband and we will see what is most suitable. If we work with wood, we quickly have a privacy screen. Plants have to grow first, but a natural privacy screen is definitely something nicer. We need to think about it more carefully.

What speaks against WPC wall?

Wood and greened in front of it. Then in a few years you won't see a difference. You don't feel comfortable when you know that someone does nothing but watch. They have the pleasure for 90 minutes 5 days a week. A man drives his wife to clean and stares straight ahead at our property, our terrace, at our dining table for 90 minutes. My personal hell. The hedge in front of his parking space gets extra fertilizer.

I would also choose tall, fast-growing perennial plants. It doesn't look so unwelcoming... but attach a wooden wall on the outer side of the terrace.

If it should be a hedge: Beech hedges shed the withered brown leaves only slowly in winter and thus continue to provide privacy.

We have a very curious neighbor who is always standing on the terrace when we are outside.

I would enthusiastically wave embarrassingly loudly every time he looks, until he considered ignoring me. Alternatively: stare back with noticeable interest. But that I build a privacy screen because his mom missed something in his upbringing: that would be crazy in my life.

Whether a wooden wall is allowed at your border or not, you should inquire about that. Something like this would be allowed here up to 1.8 meters in height, but the neighbor has to agree. Whether he will do that?
