Hello,

our construction company was just excavating the sewage treatment plant pit when they encountered a power cable after about 1 meter.

The TEN said that we need to apply for a rerouting on our part.

My question is, will costs arise for us because of this, as nothing is registered in the land register, and if costs do arise, what can be done about it?

Best regards & thanks

What is TEN? And why can their cables be found randomly on the property?

Just imagine you had put a garage there without knowing it and later someone wants to access the cable exactly there?

Who didn't do their homework?

TEN is Thüringer Energienetze. I found out that our construction company does not have any shaft permit at all, the man from the energy networks said I should have arranged it, but I thought the construction company would take care of it.

That can probably be answered with yes, otherwise it's groping in the dark ... So, a few key data would be helpful: - Owner of the property (you?) - Builder (you?) - Construction project (septic tank?) Options: A) Relocate the pipeline. Costs can possibly be reduced if you choose and commission the excavator yourself instead of leaving everything to TEN. B) Leave the pipeline in place, register an easement, protect the pipeline, do not build over it. That also costs money.

Thinking is not knowing. And what has not been contractually agreed upon does not have to be provided by the contracting party.

One should have asked the usual utility providers before the start of construction whether and where lines are hidden.

Otherwise, the questions from [Bieber] are already helpful.

Good morning,

So, a few key data points would be helpful:
- Owner of the property (You?) Yes
- Builder (You?) Yes
- Construction project (Septic tank?) Yes

I have now had a shaft certificate sent to me, where you can see the pipe.
The pipe now has to be relocated, so first I have to see how to write an application for relocation and whether any potential costs will be incurred by me.

What I just don’t understand is, why is there nothing in the land register regarding this power line?
