Hello everyone,
I would like to take the opportunity to raise this topic as my question goes in a similar direction. In our development plan, the house and garage positions are roughly indicated in the site plan. For a better south/west orientation, we would like to place the garage not on the left side of the house, but on the right side. We would like to know before commissioning a house construction company whether this is possible. No specifications are made in the text section of the development plan. Perhaps there is already experience in the forum with such changes/deviations from the development plan.

You have a different property than that of . Therefore, it is worthwhile for you to start a new thread, because otherwise Romeostar would constantly receive notifications about new replies in his topic. So if you start a new topic specifically for your question, please also include the information about the planning area, the explanation of the lines, and the info about which planned road your property is connected to. It is probably about property 78?

I see a continuous green strip. The probability is high that your driveway, including the lowered curb, is firmly predetermined. Apart from that, as far as I have understood so far, it is generally not allowed to place garages on the property boundary or directly on the street. You must position the garage so that there is still a parking space in front (!) of it on your own land.

This probably comes from the experience that people often park their cars in front of the garage rather than driving in.

This does not apply to carports, which may be placed directly on the street. Unless the state building code or development plan states that carports must also be placed exclusively within the building area. Read the development plan carefully. It should be done in half an hour with average comprehension.
