We have, I must apologize for my little slip, something completely different. Exhaust air motor and window rebate ventilator. So central for poor people, which surprisingly works quite well.

Honestly? I think that is a far better solution than the decentralized devices. And above all, the price-performance ratio is absolutely unbeatable.

In the bungalow of about 110 sqm, that's really doable. The motor is in the bathroom, so its background noise doesn't bother. The fans are in all the windows, since [FHZ], the doors are usually open anyway, and the air can also pass under the door, they are never that tight at the bottom.

Back to the question: brick filling: perlite vs mineral wool. I once inquired about mineral wool. What is the difference in sound insulation, insulation is the same, what is the difference in moisture/water damage?

Perlite cannot get wet because it is hydrophobic. The wool soaks up water. Advantage of perlite. Otherwise, there are no differences. Oh, perlite crumbles out when drilling and cutting, wool is probably better there. Wool is also about 30% cheaper.

The central system is the latest nonsense. Planning-intensive. Damn expensive. The ventilation openings ruin everything endlessly. The pipes become a breeding ground for germs and bacteria after a short time. Plus the expensive filters. Loud air noises at the outlets. Sound transmission, so you can hear in the attic what is being said on the ground floor. Visually terrible what is then mounted on the ceiling. This simply has to be said to avoid such nonsense among new builders. It only causes problems. But it’s praised to the skies so that the house doesn’t rot away under your butt, since everything is built airtight. I know both very well. Both work comparably well. In new buildings, I would install a central system with normal financial conditions, decentralized with a limited budget, and decentralized as well in renovations. So, enough off-topic. Back to the topic.
