What is around the properties? Sidewalks that may need to be cleared in case of snow? I would pay attention to that. Well, maybe it’s not so crucial in NRW, but we have property owners here who get pissed off at every snowfall because it’s a corner lot and the sidewalk is right there. That means: it has to be cleared.

You don’t really think about that in summer.

That would actually not bother us, as we are still quite young.

In addition, I then prefer only one neighbor and in return somewhat more work for the house and yard.

You say that now. But even in bad weather, illness, constant snow, etc., you are then responsible for ensuring that the sidewalk is cleared. If something happens, it's on you (e.g. someone falls because it wasn't cleared and breaks a leg)

But I can already see, these are probably strongly regional differences *g*

Hi,

I would also choose 10-14. The question is whether there really are many lots in the pot here. Another property might be better for the luck of the draw.

Please consider the daycare center, subway/tram, and highway nearby.

All things considered, thank you.

Indeed, on this planet, and even in the same country, where many of those writing here talk about applicant-to-offer ratios of at least 4:1 (?) Your Majesty graciously prefers. That sounds as if you knew at least several weeks before all other bidders that the building area would be coming onto the market. I think you misunderstood my question. I did not want to know which it is to be able to outbid you - rather, I harbor the justified fear that dozens of others are already doing so; and I am expressing my astonishment that you speak here as if you could calmly choose your pastor’s plot and the common people then have to take what you have left. I know the reality in most new housing developments quite differently. As I said, 4:1 is already a favorable applicant ratio, 8:1 to 12:1 still within the average range, and at the top end I believe I have even read about 35:1 oversubscribed issuances here. Is there a central application office here, and a free allocation without a local resident model etcetera?
