Hi, how did you plan your utility room? Ours is 7.50m² and already packed with
[*]brine heat pump [*]recirculation system [*]main electrical cabinet / power box [*]battery for photovoltaic [*]alternating current generator (photovoltaic)
We only have space for a washing machine because our planning expert says the individual devices must be spaced as far apart as possible so you can access them from all sides (except the back). But I don't know how well informed he is. Therefore, I would like to ask here: Do you also have such large distances (about 50 - 70cm) between each of the devices and thus no room left to put anything else there? I am grateful for any experience / tips!

We have a technical room: brine heat pump, hot water storage tank, 2m control cabinet, controlled residential ventilation, 19-inch network cabinet, house connections, etc. Approximately 10sqm and no space left for anything else. That’s why we have a second room for washing machine, dryer, drying rack, freezer chest and co. otherwise it would never have fit with us. Edit: inverter for photovoltaics in the garage.

Everything is packed tightly for me. However, you can easily access everything from the front. Also, the water tank can be accessed from one side. So far, no one has complained. But I don’t have any photovoltaic systems yet.

Thanks! What exactly does packed tight mean in terms of spacing measurements?

Not everything is there yet, but the washing machine and dryer will probably stand right next to each other, if I don’t even have to stack them. They will possibly also stand in front of the descaling system. I will have to build some kind of trolley so that I can pull them out to refill the salt. There won’t be much space left for the fuse box either, theoretically. If I’m lucky, 40 cm. The inverter could possibly be mounted on the wall there later. I will install some kind of open network cabinet directly under the ceiling. The water tank stands alone opposite the wall just described, about 1.2m in a niche as mentioned, one side is still accessible. The controlled residential ventilation hangs in a nice other niche and next to it I will build a washbasin. Space for laundry is only available by means of laundry lines across the room. But we dry almost everything anyway, and in summer you can dry outside.

Would it be a problem to pull the freezer forward briefly if you need to get behind the heat pump?
