Hello, we are currently considering which ones are better now. Some construction companies advise against the filled ones. Out of fear of mold formation ??? We would not be able to achieve a Kfw 40+ house just because of the bricks. Can you share your experiences with us? Thank you

Both are not ideal. Unfilled is really crap, even though it is still often done.

Take perlite-filled or mineral wool-filled. There you have the best properties.

Alternatively KS plus ETICS.

Depending on the filling, no water should enter the brick during construction, i.e., it should not rain in. And the filling sometimes seems to slip downwards, which undermines the purpose of the filling.

If it "only lies on the wall," recalculating might help. We initially planned only for KfW55, but with the photovoltaics on the 40cm Ytong, we match so well that for KfW40 only a little more insulation on the floor slab is needed. In practice, this will probably make little difference, but the photovoltaics were already set, and this way we get the storage properly subsidized.

Our energy consultant says something different than the energy consultant at the brick factory yesterday. According to the brick factory, the wood does not absorb moisture!? That was also my fear with moisture and slipping downwards.

What is wrong with the wood fibers?

Basically nothing, I am a big fan of wood fibers. However, I would have concerns because of moisture. With perlite, you don't miss anything, since it is hydrophobized.

Besides, wood fiber in bricks has not been tested for long, perlite has been around for a very long time with extremely good experience.

Perlite is stone and stone in stone is more appealing to me.
