Hello...to become more independent in terms of electricity for a heat pump (because who knows how long there will be favorable heat pump tariffs that make a heat pump worthwhile at all) we are considering installing photovoltaic panels on the roof (but only a small system that covers daytime own consumption, so no densely paved roof area mainly for feeding in) and to optimize, a wind system for single-family house needs. Has anyone combined this or had experience with it? This would generate additional electricity especially when it is windy but not sunny, e.g. in the evening or at night (of course not every evening is windy). Alternatively, one could combine a solar thermal system with the air-water heat pump, only solar electricity has become significantly cheaper to purchase now that the feed-in tariffs have fallen, so a small system for own consumption is now interesting.
