You won’t achieve a KfW 40 house with unfilled bricks, I agree with you there, but a KfW 55 house can be achieved with good building components.

Stone by stone was quickly done with us. We wanted passive house standard and the first simply waved it off or laughed it off. At the time, I had the impression that filled stones, no matter with what, are as popular as athlete's foot.

Builders are also consumers and think in images or associations. The streusel with pudding is more expensive at the bakery than without, and many buyers find it tastier. This transfers to the brick - precisely because the mind recognizes that these are two completely different things. When dad says "no," you ask mom - the game goes on with both reason and emotion.

Technically speaking, it is minimally saved wall thickness if you integrate the insulating foam into the chambers of the bricks instead of attaching it outside. Foam insulation has the advantage over loose-fill materials that it does not settle in the cavity. Overall, bricks are the favorites of eco-label fetishists - including those who drive an SUV to the farm shop. They are only topped by solid wood - only small dogs are cuter, but you can’t build a house from them.

Eh I’m going to pinch you in a moment. Don’t say anything against solid wood builders. Not everyone believes that they are installing the ecological miracle weapon. I’ve often gotten enough stick for not praising that stuff to ecological heaven.

Not generally - not against the perennial carpenter or we live house for example. But there are quite a few providers who simply act according to the motto "Sex sells, Bio even more," and open wallets with eco-nonsense to the point that it borders on indulgence trading.
