Hello everyone!
My girlfriend and I have also been planning our house for quite some time.
It should have about 170 sqm of living space, a basement, an open kitchen/dining/living area with a Swedish stove.
We also place great importance on optimal thermal insulation.
Is a pellet heating system sufficient for heating the house as well as for hot water, or should the pellet heating only be used for heating and solar collectors be installed on the roof for hot water?
The main living area (kitchen, dining, living room) will mainly be heated via the Swedish stove.
Your opinion please!!!

If you don't have to watch the money, why not?

The pellet stove is more than sufficient. However, I personally would not rely on pellets. If you look at the price development of pellets, no thanks. I would rather consider a heat pump, in combination with a small photovoltaic system, for example? Regards

The standard heat load is calculated according to DIN 12831. In addition, the capacity for hot water preparation is determined. Afterwards, the energy demand and consumption are each calculated. Once all figures are known, the overall package is assembled. Whether a solar thermal system is included in this, I would not be sure. With KfW, one might not be able to avoid it.
This is not recognized; by the way, it also makes little sense as a permanent heat source if a Scandinavian stove = wood stove!
Heating surfaces and pipe network must also still be dimensioned!

Best regards

Where exactly is the problem with pellets? The prices are significantly lower than those for oil or gas. And actually, they have always been. Only in 2006 was there a brief tightness. And apart from the peak, prices have been and remain remarkably stable. And production capacities are by no means fully utilized yet, there is still plenty of room for growth.
