She simply lied to us, she knew that my sons occasionally park in front of my gate from the very beginning and until a year ago, she also parked in front of her house at the same time, then she informed me that she was building the carport to the left of the house. I had even asked her to build the carport to the right of the house as 3m on the left and right are equally wide, it would not have been a problem there, she wouldn’t have disturbed anyone when she comes home from her parties at night. But she didn’t care, by the way, she is a doctor specialized in occupational safety, ha ha. Now I have sleep disturbances because I wake up every time she arrives, she also needs several attempts to get into the carport, which only has an entrance width of 2.50 m. I have politely asked her to park outside when she arrives so late, she doesn’t care either, she keeps going like this. Thank you anyway.

So, test who binds themselves "forever" ...

That sounds familiar to me now :(

Oh, the visitor is parking at the gate, but she has to move forward and backward to get in, it was only about my paved area from the beginning.

As much as I feel sorry for you, only what is on paper counts. That's the first thing you learn when building. And if she has already paid for the right of way, she is allowed to use it in full, no matter what time or how often. Your house being poorly insulated and you collecting raindrops on the roof is your problem. However, a sealing maintenance of the roof could help here; there are adhesive bitumens from the car hi-fi sector, similar to the Katja membranes. Talk to her.

Regarding the original poster, I find this term unfair. She assumed, probably because she herself would do so, that the buyer would adhere to their verbal agreement. Assuming that the other person will later gain an advantage (or lied) because the agreement was not fixed in writing is at best naive, but in my view has nothing to do with "mareishness." I also find it strange that the neighbor, if her car is being blocked, does not simply ring the bell briefly and ask for the parked car to be moved. You can also do that an hour earlier, with the motto, "I have an appointment later, could you please move the car." I consider that to be "normal" neighborhood behavior.

She did not pay for the right of way, our house is very well insulated, but we always sleep with the window open and have done so all my life. We have stopped talking because she is not willing to change anything. As long as she was building, she was friendly and gladly accepted our help. We also allowed her to connect to our sewage system to save costs, etc. etc. When everything was finished, she seemed changed.
