I see it the same way. We even have three fixed parking spaces and two unofficial ones, a green area that can be driven on in case more guests come or for larger deliveries. The fact is that I want to place a lean-to garden house in that spot to at least have some storage space since we don't have a basement. There is plenty of space around for parking. Then take a look at the garage regulations of your federal state in connection with the building code and municipal regulations. Garages are not allowed to be used as storage rooms or as a substitute for basements.

Missing parking spaces for visitors, etc., are a nuisance for the neighbors. Likewise, possible dangers for playing children. I wouldn’t underestimate that either.

Well, actually you check the regulations before purchasing and then compare them with your own wishes. If it doesn’t match, then it’s either the wrong property or you have to make compromises. Needing more storage space should also be identified and considered during planning, otherwise it was planned incorrectly. Here, it seems that the wrong property and poor planning come together.
