The last entry was indeed some time ago, but maybe it will interest or help one or the other in their future decision-making...

We decided on the Meister Lindura HD400 in Oak Natural polar white 8737 and regretted this decision very much afterwards. The problems started with the dimensional accuracy and ended with the quality.

Complaints seem to be unwelcome by the manufacturer (see response email). I have to say that we were unfortunately pressed for time regarding the floor installation (contracting craftsmen, moving in). Otherwise, we certainly would not have had the material installed. The manufacturer was not able to fulfill an immediate replacement delivery.

I also have to mention that the manufacturer claims this to be top-quality goods (A-grade). I don't want to know what the B-grade looks like then. Sorry M E I S T E R, but any hardware store can do better and, above all, cheaper...

We had actually consciously decided on a German manufacturer because, from experience, we have always had good experiences with products Made in Germany. That makes the disappointment with this product all the greater. Even more disappointing for us, however, is the reaction of the manufacturer... totally unacceptable❗

I am attaching a few pictures. That way, everyone can form their own opinion.

Why do you go through the manufacturer?
The contact person is the one from whom you bought, and statutory warranty applies there.

We approached the supplier and also filed a proper complaint there. The supplier then contacted MEISTER and merely forwarded us their response...

And your supplier has fixed the defects?

No, an immediate replacement delivery was not possible. The construction site is 750 km away from our current place of residence. The floor installer we hired traveled 350 km. In addition, we were limited to one week in terms of time. Despite constant inquiries, the manufacturer took 2 days to give a first response and asked us to check each individual floorboard for squareness, etc. A return of the flooring requested by us was not accepted. Since we had no alternative, we grudgingly accepted the "visual" quality defects, especially since it was discussed with the supplier that, after consultation with the manufacturer, it would probably come down to monetary compensation. However, today's reply email from the manufacturer was all the more annoying...

It doesn't matter what the manufacturer writes, your contact person is the seller and not the manufacturer. The seller is responsible for remedying the defect, not the manufacturer.
