Parapet height window, balcony & railing – What to consider?

If the window sill is built during the shell construction, it is done in 12.5cm increments. If the sill were built 1m high and about 18cm of floor construction (screed with underfloor heating, ventilation, floor covering) were deducted, then I would have a sill height of 82cm. If that is too low for us, one could go half a brick higher and then have a sill height of 94.5cm. Is that correct, can you only choose between these two measurements? Actually, we would like 90cm, but that probably isn’t possible, right?

You can also saw stones in ways other than just through the middle, I guess... Can someone confirm?

The railing height can be chosen completely freely as far as I know.

You can choose almost anything completely freely. However, it costs the mason time and often material, so an additional charge is applied here. The same applies to arbitrary ceiling heights or the knee wall. Everything that has to be cut is relatively expensive. You should consider that a window also has a frame and the higher the sill, the smaller the window will be, unless you get a higher ceiling built.

We wanted to have the countertop in the kitchen go up to under the window (without the windowsill), and since the countertop is supposed to be 92 cm high, the sill height would also have to be at this height. How high is a normal sill height usually?

That would be one window and is now standard
The building authority should inquire about this with you – you may already need a kitchen plan at the time of the shell construction (at least that was the case with us)
