Painting work, which color, with fleece or without?

Hello,

we will have lime gypsum plaster in quality Q3 in our house. Wallpapers are not desired. We are currently obtaining quotes for painting work. I have 2 questions regarding this:

-I would like to use a mold-inhibiting paint, possibly lime-based. The 2 painters I asked said that in all new buildings they have only used regular dispersion paint and had no problems with it. Only in the wet rooms like the bathroom could they - if desired - add fungicides. Are my thoughts regarding mold correct or am I exaggerating a bit? What are your experiences?

-One painter offers fleece on the ceiling, the second also on the walls, what do you think about using fleece or not?

I would use fleece on the ceiling, not on the walls.

I agree. I would only apply fungicides in living spaces in an absolute emergency. I currently have fleece on walls and ceilings and have never had such good-looking surfaces. So I would do it again.

Hello lastdrop, why no fleece on the wall?

Q3 should already be very smooth. We certainly don't have any fleece on the walls and even find the minimal texture here and there quite nice. I think you should still be able to recognize craftsmanship.

One more question: If I use neither fleece nor wallpaper on the walls, but only paint, will no visible ugly cracks appear in the plaster? How was it with the lastdrop?
