Hello,
we have a very nice and almost like-new Metod front kitchen and would like to keep it a little longer.
A few years ago, we set up a separate kitchen block, with two wall cabinets above it as a display cabinet.
Of course, also the Metod fronts.
Our Metod front is white (silk matte), with rounded corners and the light gray top and bottom trim applied.
The white of the kitchen is still like on the first day and the kitchen is in excellent condition, except for the display cabinet.
This one has narrow Metod trims on the right and left, and these have only yellowed on these display cabinets and thus differ from the clean and radiant white of the other cabinets.
My question:
Can these side Metod trims be painted with a paint roller?
And if yes, with which paint is best to do that?
Pre-treatment – if yes, with what?
I have heard that this is not so easy, the coating could come off.
Has anyone had experience with something like this and can certainly tell me something about it – I really mean from their own personal experience, please no guesses etc.
Thank you very much for your help.
I’m glad to have found such a forum because we have been satisfied Ikea customers for many decades.
Regards
