Hello everyone

My boyfriend and I bought a Pax in October this year (3 x 2.36 m), and now the doors are finally arriving (Lyngdal in three meters - luckily from Austria, the price difference is huge...) Our problem is that at the moment we only have one car, namely mine (Fiat Punto). The doors won't fit in there anyway, I've already given up on that idea We could borrow my parents' Golf estate car if the doors fit. Unfortunately, the Ikea site does not provide any information on the size of the packages, only that there are 3 (probably one rail and 2 glass elements). Does anyone here know exactly how big the individual packages are? I've already searched here, and it was assumed that it's probably as I thought and that the rail package is about 230 cm - but an exact measurement would be really great, it might be just centimeters that make the difference because the Pax wardrobe with 236 cm unfortunately did not fit in the car. To be honest, I also don't have the energy to go through the endless menu system of the Ikea hotline...

I would really appreciate any help!

Best regards Leah

Why don't you just rent a van at IKEA? It would be way less stressful...^^

additionally once there and back plus the costs - what is less stressful about possibly getting a car from Dad that it fits into? measure which length fits maximum into the Golf variant. in my old normal Golf, 2 m fit if I can poke it through to the front passenger footwell. the longest will be the side parts. with a cabinet height of 2.36 m, it should be a maximum of 2.30 m. if necessary unpacked and, in the worst case, well secured sticking out of the back with a red flag, it can be done. oh Austria, are you allowed to let something protrude there? you will find that out. that reminds me, daughter gets the car from her parents, Dad could say, "just don't do it kid"...

Didn't we even have this question here before?
LYNGDAL consists of three boxes.
One is relatively narrow, about 20-25 cm 5 cm high, but 2.40 m long. The frame is inside.
Plus two boxes with the glass panels of the doors - the dimensions correspond accordingly... Three glass panels in one box, they are later slid into the frame.

So, our shopping trip to Salzburg yesterday was successful It was crazy busy... But the 91 euros saved were worth it to me

In case someone is looking for the package sizes again:

Package 1 (rails):
2.34 m long, 34 cm wide and 8 cm high

Package 2 (discs):
73 cm long, 1.40 m wide and 3 cm high

Package 3 (discs):
like package 2

Best regards
