Own work: Painting the house yourself after plastering

Hello everyone,

my husband wants to paint our house himself in the spring. He has done it many times before and feels confident doing it without any further help. The scaffolding and materials will be provided by the plasterers. It will be about 280 sqm of surface. Do you roughly have in mind how much you saved when you did it yourself, or what was on the invoice if you had it done?

Quick question inside or outside (you are talking about scaffolding)? Outside was not painted for us, because the plaster simply has the pigments mixed in.

Thank you I am talking from outside. Our plaster is not colored because the company does not like to do that (due to color deviations). Therefore, it still has to be primed and painted with the color we choose.

5.00 per sqm net. If you get that for it nowadays, you're lucky.

do you think it is that cheap? I have read something about 20 € per sqm.

That is 1400,- labor for 280 sqm. In addition, there is the paint, but that might be another 300-400 on top. At 50,- Euro labor, that is a proud price, almost 30 labor hours. That should probably be enough for such a house.
